Come and fish with us on some of the Adirondack’s most picturesque lakes. Here you will find several species of both warm and cold water game fish including brown, rainbow and lake trout, northern pike, landlocked salmon, small and large mouth bass. From novice to experienced angler, whether it be casting, trolling or fly fishing, we have a trip for you. We fish April through December weather permitting.
October 26 update
The smallmouth and pike fishing is in full swing now as the water temp. is in the high 40’s. Working shoals and around islands with deep divers is the ticket as usual in the fall. The bass and pike really have the feed bag on NOW. Trout fishing is just as good as the lakes have turned over and everything is stable top to bottom for the most part. If it is calm, wobblers and worms are the ticket. Then once the breeze picks up it’s over to a few different color F5 Rapalas. I’m hoping the lakes stay open into December this year but you never know what nature has in store for us so give it a try before ice comes. See you soon!
Russell Trieller is a New York State licensed fishing guide who has been fishing the Adirondacks and the Saint Lawrence river since 1989. He fishes the Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and Paul Smiths areas for whichever species you may want. Whether it is cold water species, such as trout or salmon, or warm water species, such as northern pike or bass, he can bring you to them. Several local lakes contain both types of fish and are a favorite because they afford the angler an opportunity to fish for several kinds of fish in one trip. If you are staying at White Pine Camp and would like to see what Osgood pond has to offer we pick you up right at the boathouse dock. Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Kingfishers and many other species of birds are always around on all of the lakes we fish to add to your day on the water. All fishing is done from our 16 foot Lund which provides a safe and comfortable fishing platform. The boat is equipped with two Cannon downriggers for trolling baits deep in open water. Casting the shoreline for bass and pike is done with the aid of a Minn Kota electric trolling motor. So whether the fish are in the wood, the weeds or suspended in open water we are prepared.

During the summer months we offer something different, a night trip. These trips are shorter, 3 hours in duration, from 8:30 pm to 11:30 PM. They are generally very productive for browns, rainbows and the occasional landlocked salmon. The rate for this trip is $125.00 per person. A flat, calm Adirondack lake on a summer evening is therapy in itself!
