  • I am a Maine native who grew up exploring the lakes and woods around a large lakefront farm where I grew up (and still reside) in central Maine. As a boy, I especially enjoyed my role as the family’s unofficial guide for many out-of-town visitors, and have always retained my early enthusiasm for introducing others to small boating, fishing, hiking, and exploring the local woods and waterways. Canoeing in Maine is where my heart and soul is, and I welcome you to come join me.

I now have over 40 years of experience in the arts of canoeing, camping, fishing (including fly fishing), and hiking on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway. I am a full time Registered Master Maine Guide and a former Emergency Medical Technician with training in wilderness rescue. As a member of the Maine Wilderness Guides Organization I support the preservation of remote places, like the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, for the use of future generations.
